2026 is shaping up to be another defining year for Instagram. Following a wave of major feature launches, experimental metrics, and shifts in how creators, audiences, and brands connected in 2025, Meta continues to evolve the platform at pace. This article is your one-stop source for the only Instagram updates that actually matter in 2026, kept fresh throughout the year to deliver clarity, relevance, and strategic advantage. For a deeper look at organic discoverability, read our dedicated Instagram SEO guide. Here’s what’s new, what’s changing, and why it matters for brands in 2026. May 2026 Instagram Tests "AI Creator" Labels On 4 May 2026, Instagram began testing an account-level "AI Creator" label for accounts that regularly produce AI-generated or AI-assisted content. The label appears on a creator's profile bio and alongside all posts and Reels in Feed, Explore, and across the app. The message is explicit: "This profile posts content that was generated or modified with AI." Image Source: Meta The label builds on existing post-level "AI info" tags but goes further. Where those tags flag a specific piece of content, the new label signals a creator's overall practice. When an AI Creator posts content that also carries a post-level tag, the post label takes priority. Crucially, the feature is currently optional, creators are not required to use it. Instagram Chief, Adam Mosseri, was direct: "If most of what you post to Instagram is someone else's content, your account is no longer going to be recommendable." Original content is defined as photos you personally took, videos you shot, graphics you made, or third-party content ma...

Instagram Lite - Apps on Google Play

Had to download insta lite cause for some reason original insta keeps crashing no matter what I do, so had to use lite, good enough, I hate the fact that I can't choose when a song starts and the length of it for stories or posts, and I also can't adjust the pic to the grid, so messy layout, can't save something to a specific collection, can't pause a reel when needed and no speed x2 option, and can't skip a specific part of a reel if I wanted to, meta using ai for updates is catastrophic... ... It's a great app if you're less on storage. It works completely fine. You can use almost all features of the actual instagram app.

Your account may be taking a short while to process the deletion, and/or your page may be slow to update. Refreshing the page is often all you need to do in order to see that the comment has been deleted. While using the app, tap on the username of the person you wish to block. Tap the top right of the screen and choose the “Block” option. Do not worry about causing trouble or issues when you block another user because the other user is not notified. Instagram has some ultra-leftist rules on comments, which means you cannot write anything that may even slightly offend another person’s feelings.
