Specially, this location is not a place that is private or requires permission to enter. My clients went to commemorate war heroes. Police officers obstructed the commemoration that they went to attend after giving written notification and obtaining permission. Police officers acted unlawfully. Your Honour, this must be looked into."The court notified at this stage that the current status regarding this incident is at the investigative stage. Therefore, naming individuals as suspects or issuing warrants cannot be done at this moment, the magistrate stated, and postponed the case while ordering Thalangama Police to expeditiously conclude the investigations related to the incident and report to court.
