Wednesday May 13, 2026 10:05 am ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted weaker at 323.75/324.25 to the US dollar in the spot market on Wednesday, from 323.70/90 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields edged lower. The rupee was quoted at 309.50/60 on December 30, 2025. 80,000 million rupee Treasury bills auction ongoing. Of the actively quoted bonds: A bond maturing on 01.08.2030 was quoted at 10.00/05 percent. A bond maturing on 15.06.2034 was quoted flat at 11.08/12 percent. A bond maturing on 15.08.2036 was quoted at 11.25/40 percent. The telegraphic transfer rates for the American dollar were 319.0000 buying, 326.0000 selling; the British pound was 430.9052 buying, and 442.3504 selling, and the euro was 372.0801 buying, 383.6199 selling. On the Colombo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, the All Share Price Index was down 0.12 percent, or 27.60 points, at 22,987; while the S&P SL20 was down 0.19 percent, or 11.92 points, at 6,282.
