Missing MP Man Found As Skeleton In Forest Pit, Friend Arrested For ...
XA missing man in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh was found dead as skeletal remains in a forest pit. Police arrested his friend, who allegedly murdered him and pledged the victim’s gold jewellery for a Rs 40,000 loan.A shocking murder case has emerged from Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district, where police recovered the skeletal remains of a man who had been missing for nearly 10 days. Investigators alleged that the victim was murdered by his own friend, who later pledged the victim’s gold jewellery to obtain a loan. The deceased, identified as Golu Valmiki from the Malawar area, had disappeared several days ago, prompting concern among his family members. Acting on fresh leads, police arrested accused Raghuveer Soundhiya on Wednesday. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to the crime and revealed the location where the body had been hidden. According to investigators, Raghuveer allegedly killed Golu and buried the body inside a pit in a forest area to conceal the crime. Police later recovered skeletal remains and blood-stained clothes from the spot based on the accused’s statement. In a disturbing twist, police said the accused removed gold earrings worn by the victim after the murder and mortgaged them at AU Bank to secure a loan of around Rs 40,000. Family members claimed the accused had even joined the search operation after Golu went missing. On the day of the incident, Raghuveer reportedly visited the victim’s home and asked whether Golu had gone out to graze goats before heading in the same direction himself. When Golu failed to return home, relatives searched the grazing area and found the goats abandoned, but there was no trace of him. The family later approached police and repeatedly expressed suspicion against Raghuveer. Relatives alleged that despite naming the accused multiple times, police initially failed to take strict action. After approaching the Chief Minister Helpline, senior officers intervened and intensified the investigation. Following sustained questioning, the accused allegedly confessed, leading police to the burial site. Authorities are now probing the exact motive behind the murder and whether any other individuals were involved. The skeletal remains have been sent to Bhopal for post-mortem examination, while further investigation is underway. Tags
Beacon Falls man held on $2M bond after confessing to killing ... - FOX61
Prosecutors said Adam Drozdowski told police he killed his wife and that he "lost his mind." BEACON FALLS, Conn. — A Beacon Falls man is currently being held on a $2 million bond after police say he confessed to killing his wife. Adam Drozdowski, 44, appeared in court Wednesday, where a judge increased his bond from $1 million. The judge cited mental health concerns, referencing conversations police said they had with Drozdowski. Prosecutors said Drozdowski called police around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday and told them he killed someone inside his home. They said he told officers he “lost his mind.” Prosecutors identified the victim as his wife. Court records show Drozdowski has pending charges from December, including interfering with an officer and a felony charge for injuring a police animal. Members of the victim’s family were in court but did not speak to reporters after the hearing. Neighbors described the couple as quiet. “He was nice, she was nice, we used to see them walking around here,” said neighbor Walter Dunn. Dunn said the couple mostly kept to themselves but recalled one prior interaction with police. “I think there was a welfare check that wasn’t done in the most cooperative fashion,” Dunn said. Others in the community expressed shock. Sharon Herman, whose daughter spent time in the neighborhood, said she "thought this was a safe area." "I'm shocked," Herman said. “Prayers for the family, I just can’t believe it." Neighbors said they are still trying to make sense of the tragedy. “I can’t remember the last time there was a murder in Beacon Falls," Dunn said. "We don’t even have a bank here. You can’t even rob a bank here." Drozdowski’s next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, May 11. Victoria Anderson is a Multi-Skilled Journalist at FOX61 News.
