OVERNIGHT - WEDNESDAY: Wind gusts above 40 mph brought blowing dust, fire weather conditions, and other impacts across our region on our warm, sunny Tuesday. Overnight, however, the winds will die down, so we’re looking at calm, clear conditions heading into Wednesday morning. The break from the excessively windy weather pattern on Wednesday. There is a chance of fire weather conditions due to low humidity. The risk is limited, however, due to the light winds. Otherwise, expect a seasonably warm, quiet midweek, with sunny skies, lows in the low-40s and highs in the 70s.FIRST ALERT THURSDAY - FRIDAY: Another round of fire weather is possible towards the end of the week. Humidity values will be higher than early this week. Still, some areas will see humidity values less than 30% on both days. More importantly, wind gusts above 40 mph are possible both days. The winds will come from the south on Thursday and from the west on Friday, mainly occurring between mid-morning to mid-evening. This means fires may burn out of control if started.We’re also tracking a line of showers between mid-morning and early afternoon Thursday, as a cold front sweeps into our region. A rumble of thunder or two may accompany the showers. Not much rain is expected, however, at less than 0.1″ in most areas. There is also a chance of showers up north Friday morning. Otherwise, both Thursday and Friday will bring partly to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be on the warm side, in the mid-to-upper-70s for our highs and 50s for our lows.WEEKEND - MONDAY: Saturday will start the weekend on a warm, quiet note, with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s to low-70s. We’re also looking at mostly sunny skies during that time.The quiet weather goes away on Sunday. Starting in the afternoon hours, a low-pressure system will bring rain showers into our region. The rain will continue into Monday, and both days will involve a chance of thunderstorms. It’s not until late Monday evening that any leftover moisture slides out of our region.
