Meanwhile bond yields edged up slightly. The telegraphic transfer rate for the dollar was 323.5000 buying, 330.5000 selling. A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 closed flat at 9.65/75 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2028 closed at 9.75/85 percent, up from 9.70/80 percent. A bond maturing on 15.10.2029 closed at 9.95/10.00 percent, up from 9.85/90 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 closed at 9.95/10.05 percent, up from 9.85/95 percent. A bond maturing on 01.07.2030 closed at 10.05/10 percent, up from 10.00/10 percent. A bond maturing on 01.10.2032 closed at 10.70/80 percent, up from 10.65/75 percent. A bond maturing on 01.06.2033 closed flat at 10.90/11.00 percent. The 6 and 12 month bills were offered on tap and another 8 billion rupees of bills were sold, bringing the total issuance to 88,000 million rupees. The 3-month bill was down 7 basis points at 8.13, with 35 billion rupees offered and 46.23 billion sold. The 6-month bill was down 1 basis point at 8.243 percent, with 25 billion rupees offered and 28.54 billion sold. The 12-month yield was down 3 basis points 8.49 percent, with all 20 billion rupees of bills offered and 5.21 billion sold. The date of settlement is 15 May.
