Prasanna Madanayake new District Secretary for Matale
Mr Prasanna Madanayake has been appointed as the the District Secretary for Matale. He was serving as the Secretary of the North Central Province Provincial Ministry of Transport and Sport before the new appointment. He earlier served as the Secretary of the Governor the Eastern Provincial Council. Mr Madaayake is an old boy of Anuradhapura Madhya Maha Vidyalaya and passed out as a Science Graduate from the Peradeniya University. He also obtained a post graduate diploma in Management from the Rajarata University and completed his Masters in economics from the Kelaniya University. In 2000 he completed the Sri Lanka Administrative Service exam and in the following year he was appointed as the Assistant Secretary of the Horowpathara Divisional Secretariat, in 2004 the Medawachchiya Assistant Divisional Secretary and in 2006 the Medawachchiya Divisional Secretary. It was during his service period the Medawachchiya Divisional Secretariat was elected as the best Divisional Secretary In 2013 he was slected as the Additional District Secretary for Anuradhapura in 2013 and between the 2017 and 2019 he served as the Additional District Secretary for Matale.
