Jyoti Structures Limited, based in India, has formed a joint venture with Hayleys Fentons Limited, the leading Solar EPC and MEP contractor in Sri Lanka, to undertake the construction of the Mannar–Mullikulam 220kV Double Circuit Transmission Line. This contract marks the first award from the newly launched National Transmission Network Service Provider (Private) Limited (NTNSP) as part of the Mullikulam Wind Power Transmission Project. The initiative aims to develop essential transmission infrastructure necessary for channeling electricity produced by the Mullikulam Wind Power Projects into the national grid. Upon its completion, this transmission line will significantly enhance grid reliability, facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources, and contribute to Sri Lanka’s long-term energy sustainability objectives. Amit Dutta, Chief Operating Officer of Jyoti Structures Limited, expressed pride in collaborating with Hayleys Fentons on this pivotal project.
