HNB PLC, has entered into a strategic partnership with George Steuart Solution Pvt Ltd, to expand access to solar energy solutions across Sri Lanka. Formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, the collaboration focuses on supporting both domestic and Commercial and Industrial segments that obtain financing through HNB.The partnership highlights a shared commitment to promote sustainable energy adoption while supporting customers with reliable and efficient solutions. Customers will gain access to dependable solar power systems delivered by George Steuart Solution supported by secure and convenient financing facilities from HNB.Under this initiative, financing for domestic solar installations will be available from LKR 500,000 to LKR 7,000,000. Funding for Commercial and Industrial solar projects will be structured based on project scale and specific customer requirements, ensuring flexibility and relevance across a wide range of applications.The loan facilities will offer repayment periods of up to seven years, supported by attractive interest rates that vary according to the selected tenor. This approach is designed to make the transition to renewable energy practical and accessible for households, businesses, and industrial users across the country.The collaboration aligns with Sri Lanka’s national energy priorities, including the target of generating 70 percent of electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and achieving carbon net zero emissions by 2050. It reflects the continued commitment of both organisations to environmental responsibility and long-term sustainability, while contributing to a cleaner and more resilient energy future for the nation.The agreement was signed at the HNB Head Office in the presence of senior representatives from both organisations.
