The significance of fostering academic partnerships, joint research initiatives, policy dialogues, and cultural links—especially those grounded in shared Buddhist heritage—was also highlighted.Both sides also exchanged views on recent political and economic developments in their respective countries, including the role of youth in shaping governance and reform processes.The Pathfinder Foundation and the Embassy of Nepal expressed their shared interest in maintaining close engagement and in identifying practical avenues for future collaboration, including exploring potential opportunities to support joint initiatives.

Nepal approves names of Its ambassadors for 16 countries

The parliamentary hearing committee of Nepal has approved the names of proposed ambassadors for 16 different countries. The committee approved the nominations based on a majority. However, the nomination of Ram Krishna Bhattarai, who was proposed as ambassador to Sri Lanka, could not be approved due to the lack of necessary documents, according to committee member Mahesh Bartaula. According to sources, a few committee members expressed dissenting opinions regarding the nominations of Kapilman Shrestha, Dhana Prasad Pandit, and Netra Prasad Timsina, who were proposed as ambassadors to South Africa, Israel, and Malaysia, respectively. The government recommended Lokdarshan Regmi as Nepali Ambassador to the US, Chandra Ghimire for Britain, Sumnima Tuladhar for Denmark, Dr. Shivmaya Tumbahangfe for South Korea, Janga Bahadur Chauhan for Russia, and Netra Prasad Timalsina for Malaysia. The government of Nepal has also nominated Krishna Prasad Oli as Nepali Ambassador to China, Dhana Prasad Pandit to Israel, Shaila Rupakheti for Germany, Ramesh Chandra Poudel for Qatar, Prakashmani Poudel for Portugal, Rita Dhital for Pakistan, Shankar Sharma for India, Kapilman Shrestha for South Africa, Naresh Bikram Dhakal for Saudi Arabia, Ram Krishna Bhattarai for Sri Lanka, and Sanil Nepal for Spain.
