COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Chinese government has agreed to provide a shipment of refined fuel to Sri Lanka.The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) stated that discussions are ongoing regarding the specific dates of delivery and the quantities of fuel to be provided.Managing Director of the CPC, Mayura Neththikumara, expressed these views regarding the country's current fuel reserves.Meanwhile, Litro Gas has announced that there are sufficient gas stocks available for monthly consumption.The company stated that 14,900 metric tons of gas required for the month of April have already been received.An additional 23,100 metric tons of gas are scheduled to be received later this month.Accordingly, Litro Gas mentioned that sufficient stocks to meet the remaining requirements for April are currently available in the Maldives.Furthermore, a vessel carrying 20,000 metric tons of gas is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives between April 20th and 22nd.Litro Gas added that another vessel carrying 20,000 metric tons of gas is expected to reach the Maldives by May 6th.
