Chennai: Tamil Nadu CM Vijay on Wednesday proved majority and secured the trust vote with 144 MLAs after AIADMK split. The trust vote resolution in Tamil Nadu Assembly was opposed by 22 MLAs, 5 others took neutral stand, Speaker JCD Prabhakar said. With its allies, the TVK held a strength of 120 MLAs in the House. However, the DMK staged a walkout, reducing the total strength of the House during the voting.
