MSF works across Sudan with a team of more than 2,000 Sudanese and international staff. We run two hospitals and two clinics, and support 13 hospitals and 17 primary health care centers. Our teams provide a range of services, including surgical care, wound management, physiotherapy, maternal care, pediatric care, malnutrition treatment, primary health care, vaccinations, and mental health support. MSF also works in camps for displaced people and has two projects treating people for Kala azar, which is a major risk in Gedaref. In White Nile, our teams focus on emergency preparedness and response, strengthening community surveillance and referral pathways to help people reach care quickly during outbreaks. In North Kordofan, following months negotiating access with the authorities, MSF launched an emergency response in El Obeid, the state’s capital, in January.
